Before each use, remove the charred tip of the wooden wick and trim it to about 3–5 mm. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. The concrete vessel gets hot while the candle burns: do not move it until it has cooled. Stop burning when about 1 cm of wax remains.
